i would just be like

"ha ha, so tell me...how do you do it?"

and theyd be all sarcastic and be like "do what?!"

I respond with: "suck so much dick?"

people never know what to say to that shit.

One of my friends who's got a supercharged z28 said "how's it feel to have a lawnmower engine in your car?" I just told him it felt damn good considering the money I save on gas especially compared to his car. When I took him around some of our windy roads here, he was impressed though.

But generally speaking all other comments are positive. Some chicks have noted it's cuteness...which is undeniable haha.

We call them "celibate."

BTW, I wonder how many rednecks are willing to admit that the ballsiest '82 Trans AM in stock form took a glacial 11.6 seconds to hit 60 mph? I'm not making this up. A Fit would kick ass all over those numbers.

Unless it's an automatic Fit, then that's about the same thing.

Actually, I don't think even the automatics are that slow. In 1982 the Nissan Stanza, a (then) newly-introduced 2300-lb shitbox with around 85 hp and a 5-speed manual went to 60 mph in about 11.1 seconds--- a full half a second quicker than the 301 C.I. turbo Trans Am with a 4-speed manual. A 2500-lb 109-hp Fit should eclipse that even with A/T.

Sad but true. 1982 was the all-time low point over the last 50 years from a performance point of view. Having that ass-wipe Ralph Nader trying to turn the automobile into a single-cylinder padded cell didn't help much either.

Adjusted for inflation, gas prices were at their peak in '81 through '83. (those prices have since been eclipsed by our current price spike, even after inflation adjustment),. Also, emission control technology was still in its infancy back then, ie: the junk used to clean up emissions sapped horsepower drastically and strangled performance while actually decreasing fuel economy.

The really sad thing? Cars like the Corvette took 8.2 seconds to hit 60 and this was considered good performance. Even the RX7 and 280ZX, which took 9.1 seconds were considered performance sports cars. But things had changed by 1984, when a Honda CRX took around 8.2--- as fast as the '82 'Vette. By 1985 high performance was well on its way back to the forefront as technology and efficiency improved and gas prices tumbled.

I haven't actually measured it myself. But from a couple of online reviews, I've seen the automatic score between 11 and 11.5 seconds (making the manual 2 seconds faster to 60).

Someone here said "Honey, I shrunk the Odyssey!" and I thought that was pretty darn funny. If someone looked at my Fit (assuming I ever find one) I would say, "Yeah, I know - it's 'Honey I shrank the Odyssey!'"

I don't care if it looks like a mini-mini-van - in fact, I think that is why it's so cute.

I see 5-dr hatches in the distance and I think "I love the way hatches look".

Then, they get closer and I'm like...."Oh it's a mini-van".

I love hatchbacks and wagons. Between the Subaru STI hatch and the Evo X, I'd take the Subaru. Between the Audi RS4 Saloon and the Avant, I'd go for the Avant.

Really have not had any bad comments in person. Once they see it and get in it they love it. But if some one did say something. I would tell them about how much money i save a month form it and how often i could take there girl out with that money LOL not really though. But yea i am over spending thousands on a car. I much rather save it or go shoping. I like nice clothes and going out at night

But if i really had some of the things happen to me that i have read on here happen to some people. I would get there licence plate # and call the cops say they were giving u road rage. And they will get pulled over sooner or later and the joke would be on them. But they are stupid some one to car what type of car u drive. Are probaly people that are upset with there life. Live with there mom still. Or having problems with the wife. Normal people don't care what we drive so those people that say something rude to u. Tell them to go see a therapist they have a problem.

This just popped into my head:

Stranger: "Your car is so TINY!"

Fit Owner: "Yeah, I know, I planted mini-van seeds, but all I got was this little thing - do you suppose I should have watered more???"

ROFL
