So far I've never heard people insulting my Fit. Most of the things I can remember are compliments. Like one of the guy in a parking lot saying to his wife while I was parked next to them "Oh that's one of those Fit's, those things are great! Those have a lot of space".

 

I can't remember getting any insults about my car, but then, I'm old, and those whippersnappers are probably afraid I'll hit them with my cane.

Seriously, if people notice the car at all, they're intrigued. If they're interested, I show them the "magic seats", and the room inside. I then tell them the mileage I get, and what I paid for it, and all of a sudden they want one of their own.

 

Were you known as an "international man of mystery" back in the 60's? Did it have a license plate with some variation of the word "shag" in it?

 

Me too. I also get this: "That's so cute. It looks like you." then again my last car was a tiny VW beetle. Maybe I'm supposed to drive a little car.

 

I tell you why I like my new sport FIT and these are the things my friends told me.

We had a mini car met last week and all my friends drive BIG fancy German BMW and Mercedes.

The comments they made about my car are positive and delighted to hear

the first thing they notice is the FIT's instrument panel.
the SLK guys said it looks similar and nicer than his SLK.

the second guy is a 6 ft tall giant and he said the FIT seats are comfortable and got lots of headroom + legroom

the BMW guys said my trunk space is larger than his 328i

my FIT uses less gas, cost less and the safety feature is great.

its a nice practical little car for most people's budget.
