New fit vs Old Fit (video)

ok so I found this thing on youtube. Looks like the old fit has better exiting speed on the corners dispite the new fits increased body rigidity. Only way I think of how it gets walked from when its got more HP and far more TQ. Now this could be less a favored auto racing tranny's fault or simply driver. New fit is manual cant see what old fit is (psshhh manual) and both appear to be stock. Watch and discuss!

Would have been nice to see the old Fit chasing the RS to see how it does.

I still like the old one though

It could be driver skill as much as anything else. It's not really a scientific comparison. One would presume that if some compromises are made to soften up the ride quality to please Americans that might affect cornering and handling but not necessarily. Interesting just the same, thanks for posting it. I'm sure we will see lots of lively debate on this subject in days to come.

This is on the twisties. He catches up and loses a little in the turns. Hardly any straight patches in the whole course. The Fit (current) has always been good at this so no surprise here.

Looks pretty evenly matched, but the old Fit has an edge.

Will have to wait until Top Gear's tame racing driver tests them.
