2 Fits
2 Fits
Hi all,
Well, the gf got a FIT when I totalled my subaru forester last year -- she was driving that and we had a eurovan camper.
the subie is gone and we sold the camper and got the first fit last year. Loved it -- sport AT BLUE -- then I get a beater (93 subaru legacy) to get me by for a little while and end up getting a storm silver AT yesterday -- so we're a 2 fit family -- is that weird? I really wanted a GTI -- I used to race motorcycles, skydive, downhill, etc. so speed is in my blood -- but with gas -- and my driving record -- it's probably the smartest thing I could do.
Anyway, anyone know any decent black wheels to put on the storm silver? I don't want anything flashy -- I just think the contrast would look better -- and I'd like to get something a little lighter that the sport wheels that came on it - but I don't want to spend a lot -- and is there a market for the stock sport wheels?
Thanks

yeah, our dog loves the magic seat deal -- keeps her low and confined as well which is nice.
Going to let the girlfriend haul the dog around most of the time though to keep the interior nice. I'm a bit of a neat freak (as well as a fit freak I suppose). The Honda dealer is 2 miles from our house on the way to work which is convenient. However, I'm not a big fan of their service -- they rape you on service. We paid $250 for the 15K checkup -- they have this tires for life deal and said we had to get an alignment to keep the tires for life -- other than that all they did was check stuff and change the oil. Rip off.
So, I'm saying screw the tires for life because I'll end up putting Yokahama tires on it anyway and save the service money -- take it to some local import shop that is pretty reputable.
Anyway, how do you paint the stockers? I want them flat black powder coated? How much would that cost? I would imagine they would have to be sand blasted first?
Let me know, I'm curious. Thanks for the tip. Didn't really consider that.

powder coating would be best, very durable. ive seen anywhere from
$250 to $500 for 4 wheels. you'll need to search for local shops, i guess
for even better deals.
i was thinking more in terms of just spray painting them yourself using
Duplicolor Wheel Paint. check out their site, they have DIY's there.
ive repaired my legacywgn's wheels (after wife curbed them very badly)
with spot bondo and their paint. turned out nice.
