Will the new USDM Fit come in AWD?

does anybody know if honda is planning on releasing an AWD version of the new fit? if so, then honda will have another Fit owner in the future .

Doubt it. That would raise the price point. The Fit is sold here as the econo car. If the price goes up they start eating into Civic territory.

I heard Honda and Mitsu are doing a joint venture and gonna use the Evo turbo engine with AWD, and sell for under 20K.

i call bs on that... that damn motor alone is like 6 or 7 gs out of the new evo

You could order the parts and do the conversion yourself. That's one we haven't seen yet here.

not worth it at all IMO
although it would help in bad weather
it's not worth the extra weight and for an underpowered car it will only make it slower

if the Fit had a 200whp motor and was a track whore it would be a beast

right, i agree... no point, not much market in the US for a car of this
size to have awd with a higher price tag, worse gas milage. suzuki
has some pos microwagon that comes with awd. rarely see it even
in IL where snow is an issue.

a lot of people in the US in this market range want cheap cheap
cheap! value value value. and some go blind as far as saying
Aveo's are the same thing as the Fit.

honda would not waste time bringing a AWD Fit into such market
unless it can compete with something like a R32 and its crowd.

couldn't agree more. plus i'm extremely happy with the way the car is now.
