Test drove 14 cars - chose the Fit

Hello FitFreaks! Just wanted to tell my story here.
I'm in the market for a new car, so a few months back I started test driving cars. Here are the cars I've driven:

Scion xB
Scion tC
VW Jetta, 2.5 auto
VW Jetta, '09 TDI
VW Rabbit
Subaru Impreza 5-door
Kia Optima
Kia Rio5 SX
Mazda 3 hatchback
Honda CRV
Honda Accord (EX-L, very nice)
Honda Civic
Hyundai Sonata

Then, finally, I drove a Fit base MT. My search was over. After I drove a Fit Sport auto, I've ordered a '09 Fit Sport AT in SSM. In December, I'll be a happy man!

I drove the Accord 4 door 4-cyl. The engine makes 190 hp (if you can get it to 6500 rpm)
What's the fitless crew? Fit lovers with no fits?

The subaru impreza interior materials seemed somewhat flimsy and the car felt underpowered with the 170 hp boxer engine. Not that the fit is fast, but the gas mileage is MUCH better than the Impreza. Also, don't need AWD in Virginia too often.

i thought i was pretty crazy test driving new cars as they hit the
dealers just for the hell of it.

I loved the VW's - I think their cars are great. It was between the Jetta and the Accord for awhile. I went to the Honda dealer one more time to drive a lower trim Accord (the LX-P) and saw the Fit. Hmph. That car is too small. Looks weird. Well, why not try it???
So I drive off - alone (which is the only way I like to take a test drive) in a MT base Fit. LOVED IT. Peppy, fun, high quality materials inside. I think what I was impressed with the most is just how clever the car is - the seats, the ergonomics, the powertrain, it all just works together - for me. And the car is roomy inside. If my wife could drive stick, I'd get the MT, but she can't so I've ordered the AT.
