How fast is your Fit?

Ok so I've been reading around alot on turbo's and superchargers for the car. There's a bunch of new lingo I've picked up in my research and frankly, nothing really helps more than numbers. I've seen a handful of dyno numbers but those don't even matter to me.

Has anyone taken their Fit to track? Anyone know their 0-60, 1/4 mile times?

I'm particular curious to the differences various mods make over stock.

I hope to hear from some, thanks!

i dont think the fit is fast and the engine is not worth modding unless u swap it BUT it is really fun to drive. i cant wait to go to an auto x event with mine

if you are looking for a "fast" car, the fit isnt it. it is a slow car. stock its slow, modified, its slow and loud. i dont care what anyone says. supercharged fits are slow. turbo'd are the same.

a stock *insert any car* is faster than a fit.

I have a Fit. I know how fast/slow the stock one is. I wasn't asking for subjective ideas or personal opinions.

I was asking for numbers of your Fit if you have any sort of mods done to it.

So I repeat:

Has anyone taken their Fit to track? Anyone know their 0-60, 1/4 mile times?

Despite having more power, the Nissan Versa, Suzuki Reno, and SX4 Sport (with nearly 150hp) are all slower.

Edmunds' comparison between Fit Sport manual and Scion xD manual said the Fit did 0-60 in 9 seconds and the xD did it just under 9. Another review I read said the manual did it in 9.3 seconds. And in comparison with Yaris it did 9.5 and Yaris did 9.3. In another review, the Fit with automatic transmission did 11.5.

So if you have an automatic Fit, then yes truly as slow as they come.

At around 9 to 9.5 seconds for 0-60 with a manual with only 80-90whp, I'm sure turbo's and s/c's help boost numbers, I'm curious to see how much.

as you can see in the vid its just about 6sec.. no launch.. with a launch and a friend with stopwatch we got 5.3... but even if you want to call it 5 1/2 its still a huge improvement.

To be honest that seems a little bit unrealistic to me unless there is something I am missing. Most cars I see getting this kind of numbers have 300+ hp... and even then most of them miss it. Not even the Mazdaspeed3 can touch a 5.3 second mark.

05 S2k:
0 - 60 5.87 sec. ; 1/4 Mile Time 14.39 sec. 1/4 Mile Trap Speed 99.50 mph; Braking 60-0 120 ft.;
My Fit is faster than my S2K... it isnt unrealistic

Ok, but the S2000 isn't exactly a fast car when it comes to 0-60.... very fast around a track. I found this blurb on C&D regarding the 2003 S2000.

Our own 0-to-60 time of 6.3 seconds was set with a hole shot just south of the redline on a car with only 369 miles on the odo, but that's behavior reserved for people who can do clutch changes on their lunch hour. Regular Joes can expect 60 mph to arrive closer to the 7.6 seconds of the S2000's 5-to-60-mph time, the second-slowest rolling start ahead of the Audi. The S2000 was created for racetracks. The car would be much closer to perfect if a track could be rolled up and carried around in the trunk.
2003 Honda S2000 - Comparison Test / 2003 Audi TT 1.8T Quattro vs. Ford Mustang Mach 1, Honda S2000, Nissan 350Z - Comparison Test / Coupes / Comparison Test / Reviews / Car and Driver - Car And Driver

Anyway, not getting into a big argument. I am just saying when you consider the power to weight ratio even considering 200hp at the crank for the Fit, unless there is something going on with the gearing & special tires to achieve that kind of acceleration it doesn't sound reasonable.

thats for the 03... 04+ AP2 are slightly faster... I know the S2k isnt fast but the numbers are there and they arent off. AP2s are rated from 5.6-5.9 ive seen from multiple sources. You can not believe it if youd like. I have nothing i have to prove.

Yeah no worries, I am not in a frenzy about it and if you are getting those kinds of numbers then I have to say I am pretty impressed. Really, Really impressed. I was expecting your car to be hitting around 5.8 to the low 6's when I have a close look at the power & torque to weight ratios.

I wouldn't mind seeing a 1/4 mile slip for your car when you get around to it.

In Japan they have many internal upgrades for the L15 as well as a bore enlargement kit (rev increased to 8k+ rpm). Pushing 130whp with cams, tune, and piston upgrades, and sparks. SOHC can be very torquey with some internal work. 0-60 under 6 seconds is easily achieved with our light chasis and structural strength.
