How fast is your Fit?

can prove this though....is this you?

jk.
but yea, I beleive that a fit can do 0-60 in 5.xx seconds. 40-50hp and what, 30-40 ft/lbs torque gives a 2400lb car a bit more pep than a 3k+lb vehicle

remember that the 1st,2nd and 3rd gear on the fit are geared very differently than most cars. you guys are comparing apples and oranges. 0-60 in 5 seconds is VERY realistic with FI and a good driver.

Don't get me wrong, I am not saying it isn't possible. What I am saying is a 1/2 second is a huge difference... I just feel skeptical of a 5.3s 0-60 time.
To be honest I get kind of obessive about the 0-60 times for cars more than anything else, which is probably not the right way to look at a car but hey, it is my habit. Here is a list of cars I colleted for comparison about a year ago.
Dodge SRT-4 2004 5.3
Subaru Forester XT 2004 5.3
Ford Mustang GT 2005 5.4
Subaru WRX 2002 5.7
Acura RSX Type-S 2002 6.1
Mazda Speed 3 2007 6.1
Volvo T5 S40 2005 6.3
Volvo T5 S40 - AWD 2005 6.3
Chevy Cobalt SS 2005 6.5
Mitsubishi Eclipse 2000 6.7
Acura TSX 2004 7.1
Acura TL 3.2 2000 7.2
Cadillac CTS 2003 7.2
Saab 92-X 2004 7.2
Subaru Impreza RS 2005 7.2
Mitsubishi Lancer Ralli-Art 2004 7.3
Honda Civic Si 2006 7.3
Nissan Sentra SE-R Spc-v 2004 7.3
Mazda Six 2003 7.5
Mercedes C320 Komp. 2002 7.5
Toyota Corolla XRS 2005 7.5
Ford Mustang V6 2005 7.5
Honda Prelude 2001 7.6
VW Jetta VR6 2001 7.7
Audi A4 3.0 2001 7.7
BMW 325i 2001 7.8
Kia Spectra / 5 2005 8.2
Suzuki Areo 2005 8.3
Toyota Corolla Sport 2004 8.4
Saab "9-3" 2000 8.5
Honda Civic Sig 2002 8.5
Acura EL1.7 2002 8.5
Audi A4 3.0 2000 8.5
Audi A4 1.8T 2001 8.7
Mitsubishi Lancer OZ 2003 9.3
VW Jetta TDI 2005 11.3
VW Jetta TDI 2000 14.7
Now admittedly the Forester is a bit of an anomaly because it has very low gearing and AWD that grabs like you wouldn't believe. But we can take a look at the other FWD car in that list for a comparison. To put this in perspective the SRT4 runs a 1/4 mile typically under 13s... even a few rumors of mid 12's at over 110mph; it goes 0-60 in 5.3 seconds.

may be with stage 3 turbo installed on the srt4...? friend has stage 2 installed, few other things done and is still mid 12s to low 13s on a GOOD run. dunno how anybody got a stage1 srt4 to get under 13s in the 1/4.
haha thats all i can add to this thread...i know nothing really, just thought i would throw at out there.

you are absolutely wrong dude. a del sol is not a slow car. my brother's del sol ran a 14.9 qtr mile when it was stock. and i maxxed mine out at 137mph every morning on the way to work.
#35
That's yours. The slowest Del Sol's had a 106hp motor and did 0-60 10-11 seconds.
