New to the fit forums
Hey guys, i am looking at purchasing an 09 fit, have a good friend who owns an 08 and he raves about it so on here doing some research. But i have one question to ask. is there any fit owner that is over 6'6? Im 6'8 an my height seems to be my limiting feature for driving cars. I will be going out and testing the new 09 fit in the coming weeks and well let you guys know how i fit. But curious to as to current owners if anyone is this size and fits.. and if so how well?

I have a friend who must be 6'5" or 6'6", and he sat in my '08 Fit. He was surprised at how much headroom he had. I'm 6' even with a long torso, and I have 4" clearance over my head. I haven't sat in an '09, so I can't speak to them.

You might want to PM solbrothers. As I recall, he's about your height and does not have any problems with comfort in his '07 Sport. Member grouser is also extremely tall and likes his '07 Sport.

i dont think youll have issues with the room; luckily the 09's come
with (from wat i read) a telescoping steering wheel so you can adjust
the steering wheel position to the length of your legs and seating
position.
the 08's dont telescope so even a shorter guy like me (but with longer
legs, shorter arms) had a hard time getting use to the pedal position
cramped up into my crotch...lol. until i got spacers and aftermarket
steering wheels to extend the steering position back and also my
seat position back to accomondate my leg and arm lengths.
my old 06 civic sedan was by far more comfy out of the box...
the only other time i had this problem was when my wife made the
mistake of buying a 04 corolla. not only was it a pos and fugly, it was
even more uncomfortable to drive. felt like i was standing up and
steering wheeling horizontally like a bus.

2009 Fit will be much more "Tall dirver" friendly.
It now has bigger more supportive seats, tilt and telescoping wheel, arm rest, and a dead pedal. You will be able to find an ideal driving postion im sure, via the telescoping wheel alone.
