Middle A/C Vents moving on its own...

Have any of you had the A/C full blast and try to point the middle vents in a direction..and then suddenly shift left or right?

I find that a little annoying... anyone have the same problem?

no, but you can probably get that replaced under warranty.

I noticed it happening and thought I was losing my mind at first. I set them just as I want them - then the next time the A/C is on full blast (4) the air flow is all off in a weird direction!

I think it's just one of those quirks to live with...force of the air moves the plastic levers. Not a big deal really...if that's the worst thing to happen I will happily rejoice in guessing which way the air will blow whenever I blast the A/C!

Mine do that when I first get in. i.e. when it's hot. If I'm using the a/c, once it's been blowing cold for a couple of minutes the vents seem to "stiffen up" a little and will stay in whichever direction I point them. Get out for a few minutes and come back and they're all loosey-goosey again.

I've noticed this too. It's sort of annoying but, eh, you learn to live with it. It helps that I rarely have my blower on higher than 2, though sometimes I put it on 3 if it's really hot right when I first get in.

Mine have done it since the test drive. Unfortunately, it's just one of those quirks we get with our Fits. As mentioned above, mine also seem to stiffen up as the temps get cooler in the cabin

Mine does this also on 4.
I can't be bothered to take it in for such a minor thing.

On old Saabs, some people will disassemble the vent louvers and insert thin slices of vacuum tubing (donut shaped cross section) into the pins to add a little resistance.

Not sure what to do if you don't want to take them apart.
