They never made the Fit in America. It's built entirely in Japan. I'm sure they will start making them soon here to cut costs or something I dunno.

You're going the same route I started with. Red emblems, tint, mugen visors, yellow foglights. Dramatic cosmetic improvement right there. I'd get sidemarkers too but I don't want to drill into my fender really. How about white LED dome/cargo/tail lights and HID headlights to light up the night? Whatever you choose, good luck trying to quit buying stuff!

I believe you. But the Fit is still made entirely in Japan, not here. That's why we have to wait so long for them to arrive at dealers!!

Have you put in the lighting for the footwells? I like that look, like interior street glow...

haha your boyfriend buys you parts, that's neat. Let me know when you do the sidemarker thing because I want to know how the installation went.

Lights in the footwell mean a strip of LED you can attach above where the pedals are, to make it easier to see at night. But I don't see the point in that if you get a brightass dome light. I've never had trouble seeing anything, even with the old bulb ;/

OK, I have to ask this now - Please tell this noob what all the abbreviations stand for! What is JDM, what is GE8 or whatever, I have seen several different variations on descriptions of Fits like that. I don't understand!

I don't think it's practical, just pretty! It's like adding the blue trim strips on the dash, door handles, etc. It just looks cool. But costs upward of $200 from Honda so...

Haha, you're funny Juliane, and I'm not saying that in a sarcastic way. Not sure what the GD in GD3 stands for, but "GollyDang3" sound about right, since that's what people say when they see a GD3 pass them on the street. They go "Golly Dang!!"

I never understood what chassis codes really meant. I guess it's just an easier way to describe a generation of car. GD3 spanned 2 years, for example. EG is the 92-95 civics/del sols.

Oh, it's a chassis code? So something Honda uses internally? That would explain why it doesn't seem to signify anything, like CIG4 might be Civic Gen 4. They should ask me before naming stuff. Ha ha.
