2009 Honda Fit
the back one, the 91, yes! i loove that crx... the 84-87 is just too boxy for my taste
Boxy can be good. It was a coherent design, and it will stand apart as a classic in years to come, like the mk1 VW GTi.
The interior on those mk1 CRXes continues the angular theme. It's pretty neat, and has to be seen and lived with to be really appreciated. They were no-frills no-compromises cars, my 87 had no power steering, no A/C, no power anything. It was a pure driver's machine that made you feel as if you controlled the car through force of mind. My wife hated it at the time, which made me love it all the more.
Someday I'll get another - I'd really like the two-tone one in the second photo, but that's a JDM Ballade Sports, and chances are slim I'd find one of those.

I myself am an older car fan. Boxy, wedgy, door stops. I love them.
The new cars are getting bulky looking and theyre all looking the same.
Thats what I dont like.

Its not the looks for me.
Its the fact that the car got bigger.
I want a smaller car, or the same size. Thats why I got a Fit instead of a new Civic which is bigger than my old Accord.
Why do they keep maker cars bigger?

I have made a 25-mile highway commute to work for the last 3 decades. The a-hole quotient increases every year in terms of drivers, usually with bloated American vehicles riding my Honda Accord's ass; thus, I am comforted that the new Fit is somewhat larger than the past versions. With all the recent dramatic markdowns on GM vehicles, I sense that it will take at least 5 years before the highways of America will be populated with cars that are more "fit" than the ones on the road now....

Reminds me of the time I was at the gas station and I saw this HUGE lifted F-250 or whatever...and the guy filling it had bare feet, I kid you not...I stared at the bare feet, and then noticed I could also see his legs under the lower edge of the truck, and he was also as small as a hobbit...It was like a child driving that HUGE pick-up...I laughed until I snorted. "My _________ is bigger than yours!" was the message from the Hobbit Truck.
the new fit is still nowhere near the size of a civic. if the small amount of size it has gained really bothers you, then maybe we can figure car companies make newer generations bigger because they figure that people like you wont be pleased anyway.
The original hateful attack on the '09 Fit was senseless. I picked up my Sport Automatic yesterday in the bold "orange revolution" and could not be happier. In one day, I averaged nearly 35 MPG (75% highway), and it can only get better. As for this car being fugly, I laugh at this. Have you been to Europe anytime in your life to see how the rest of the world copes with gas prices over 2 X what we are paying? The people who now mock the new Fit should start to reconsider what the real purpose of a vehicle is....
