Can 2 bikes fit in a Fit?

One of the reason I want a Fit is because it can carry bike in it. However I need to carry 2 and I don't want to install a bike rack. If I fold up the second roll seats I can put one bike there, w/ the front wheel off. Can I put a second bike behind the second roll seat in the cargo area w/ the front wheel off too?

Wow, thanks for the picture! That's perfect. Bike racks would affect mgp, so I want to keep them inside. This is wonderful news!

I have a rack, and the total bikes I ever carried was 6. Woot, went up to vermont for some freeriding.

Isn't that like asking, "How many slices come in a large pizza?" Answer, "How many do you want."

All kidding aside, a buddy has put 2 adult bikes w/no problem.

Haha thanks, but I don't own a bike.

If I did I'd do it though!

yes, i have copied this design, and it works well...though i used a 2X4...i suggest something a little wider. It can be prone to rocking back and fourth due to lack of stability

You can put two bikes in the car! Just fold the back seats down and take off the front tires on both. When my buddy and I go bike riding I do that all the time.

Small cars deserve small bikes. I can get three of these and riders in a Fit:

Question Is it possible to fit 3 bikes in a Fit

I have a 2007 model Fit. I know it is possible to fit 2 bikes lying flat in the Fit if the front tires are taken off. But has anyone been able to fit 3 bikes in a Fit?

I have had 3 bikes and 4 people in my Fit. The people were one adult and 3 skinny teenage girls. The bikes were Dahon folders. You could probably do 3 adults and 4 folders, but that makes no sense either.

Yes, two bikes fit easily with the seats down. Here are two road bikes. I secure them by bungee to the seat bracket and they are very secure.
