moon roof...Question for anyone who has one???

Just wondering if anyone here has a Fit/Jazz with a moonroof?

I haven't seen many (if any pics) of the moon roof and I'm wondering if the roof opens by sliding back and into the roof, or sliding back and upward on the outside of the roof?

If anyone here has pics of their Fit/Jazz showing the moon roof...please post up some pics.

Thanks!!!

Haha...ok, sun roof, moon roof, let me re-phrase the question.

If anyone here has a hole in the roof of their Fit/Jazz...... :-)

I always get the two confused....I guess the sunroof is usually tinted glass and the moonroof is usually painted the same color as the roof??

I assume the Fit/Jazz has the glass roof (sunroof) ???????

moon roof or sun roof looks good but as your car aged, the rubberseal will start to leak, thats the only drawback of it. cheers

I've had a couple of Honda's with factory Sun / Moon roofs now - if you keep up on the yearly rail lube and use a poly vinyl chloride restorant (amour all) on the seal regularly they'll last the life of the vehicle NO PROBLEM!

Maybe back in the day, but the newest generation of sunroofs dont have that problem. Even our 94 and 95 integras dont leak at all. We have never treated the rubber either with any topicals.

I guess maintainence is key when it comes to the sunroof. My fiance's bro has an '89 CRX and those things rust bad...especially in the sunroof area.

what Silverandchrome stated is a moonroof.... there is a different between a moonroof and sunroof... he is correct for the explaination... sunroof is with the tinted glass and the moonroof is the metal sliding ones.. for the time being, all the factory Fit/Jazz dont come with either both.. Its has to be custom made from the workshop outside...i used to own a civic SI its come with a original sunroof.. Have it for 5 years ,without maintaining the sunroof and there was no problem at all...

My US Market CRV had a GLASS moonroof - Not metal - direct from Honda.
It both tilts and slides open and has a closeable interior shade.

Also if you go to the JDM Fit pages and do a options search there is a moonnroof/sunroof available factory option. It in the 3D view pages under options you can add after downloading down the page. Just must not be available factory option in Singapore...

Per Honda....

and it ain't metal - I drive to work every day looking up through it...
