wow guys thanks for all your help i really appreciate it.

a lot of people said keep my fit as a DD but id rather not pay insurance on 2 cars right now.

i think i'll just do simple mods, like intake, headers, exhaust, etc to the fit and then wait a couple years.

i like the Si but i went onto 8th civic and people have said they ARE pretty slow.

again, thanks for your help everyone.
i think im going to keep my fit for sure!

what AnlDyxp said. the KWSC for the Auto isn't out yet but i keep hearing good things about it, that it makes the Auto Fit seem not so...Automatic, in other words...SLOW. the Blitz Throttle Controller is apparently the new "wonder mod" as everyone that owns one is giving it rave reviews around here...which is promising, and now its become a target-mod for me. good luck with your choices.

Dude, I just put my Trans Am on leisure insurance. Way affordable to have two cars. Talk to your insurance agent and see what kind of policy they have for that. I use State Farm so if you have them it shouldn't be a problem.

B. Who needs 2 insurance payments these days? Save your money and stay out of debt. It's weird times in the USA right now, and you don't know what tomorrow is going to bring.

Good thinking, if you trade your practically new car in now you are basically throwing away money. I would pace yourself on mods to keep you busy for the next few years, then trade it once it has more miles on it and the depreciation curve has smoothed out a bit.

sugarphreak is absolutely correct! i think its like the first 2 years of owning the car is when it depreciates the most. after that depreciation slows down a bit.

As many have said.... Id pay the Fit off and do minimal mods.
If you turbo it, keep the boost low just for simple added power. Miles are gettin up there.

I wouldnt suggest getting into another car payment. The economy is shit.
You wouldnt want to be stuck with a car you cant pay?

Man this is a easy one. Pay the fit off keep it as a DD. Don't go with the si if u want a real performance car with a lot of bang for the buck. Get a used Evo for 21k u can get a really nice one with low miles. How many cars do u know with just a Full exaust ported exaust manifold and turn up the boost from 19psi stock on evos to 21psi and get 330AWHP. The evo is AWD so no real need for any suspension upgrades. And they are not all that heavy. Do some reasearch on it man. All the evo guys i know came form hondas and still love the hondas for what they are. Why spend 5-6k on ur fit for mods for it and not even see 200hp when u put 2k if that into a evo and see 330-350AWHP. I use to want to mod my fit still do in a way to make it a better dd. But i am saving right now for another evo in a couple of years down the road. And trying to keep the Fit as my dd. Evo really have a lot of performance out of the stock engine. I see guys running 400-500 on stock block all day. I had at the end around 380 at the crank on my evo. And let me tell u that thing would pull on every gear like a bat out of hell. No car on the road would kill me i got beat by a couple of new vettes but they won but not by much. IF u have any questions or want to know where to go to find out more about evos i still am on 2 good evo forums and will help u out in any way i can

Yes if u can't afford another car due to u might loose ur job than just keep the Fit. I don't have to worry about that seeing i am a marine they can't fire me and i won't loose my job no matter what and i get a raise every year no matter how shity things get. But when i owned my cobra and Evo i was only paying $31 extra a month for the cobra and i was only 21 at the time on my own plan. Its cheap to insure 2 cars. What cost alot if u don't have one payed off then 2 car payments can cost u alot. But really i myself just don't see me puting 5-6k into my fit. For one i know how a moded car feels as a DD and i don't want that again. I just want to do exterior mods with the fit. And save up for a good performance car on the weekends and for the track. Ethier a cobra,Evo maybe S2000 or if i save up enough a vette would be nice. But that won't be for a couple of years i need to pay the fit off first

buy a motorcycle. its 1/2 to 1/3 the cost, gets better mileage, goes faster than almost any car. then you have your fun and you have the fit to be responsible, reliable, economical daily transportation. Best on all ends. pay em both off quick. My accord and bike are paid off, the fit was a car I bought to drive the wheels off and save on gas still but has 4 doors and works like a small SUV for loads, and save wear on the accord, which is well set up. You already have the responsible vehicle. Remind yourself why you are alive, get a bike

If you want a manual that badly, pay of your current Fit, then get a manual Fit and turbo it or throw a k20 in there. It's a fun car but unless I was a millionaire, I wouldn't want to deal with more than one car.

Get the SI. That's what I wanted initially, but got the Fit based on gas prices. A JDM conversion is too costly. I would of better off getting a used RSX. But you just can't beat the affordability - $20 for a full tank... great stock components.. e.g. Koito lights, Showa parts...

I would say to keep it if it was manual & you never know if gas prices will go up again. BUT you only live once. Just GET it. No regrets.

Yea that evo is high. Go to http://forums.evolutionm.net/showthr...=204975&page=7 and go down to where the cars are for sale its a good evo forum. But a bike is a good idea but man it might be a good idea to just keep the fit and do a couple of mods to it. just realize that the fit is not going to be a fast car ethier u might be able to get it to be quick with a turbo but not fast. There is not enough parts out for them yet

exactly why bike is best option. The fit will never be fast. Fun to drive and good handling, yes, but never FAST. You can buy a stock crotch rocket and do a 10-11 sec QM with 0-60 under 3 seconds. Insurance on my RR is 466/year full coverage with Mod coverage.

The speed, gas mileage, price, STUPID FUN, easy to make room for, and overall affordability of a bike beats any car.
