Tall drivers and the '09 Fit

I'm looking to test drive a Fit and am waiting for my nearest dealer to get one in stock first. I was wondering if any tall '09 Fit owners out there could tell me if they are comfortable in the car. I'm 6'2" and 245...

You should be fine man. I'm 5'11 and have a lot of head room.

6'1", with 3 to 4" headroom. I had an Accord loaner car for a day, and headroom felt cramped compared to the '09 Fit.

I'm 6'1", and I also have no problem with head room when driving my wife's 09 Fit Sport. However, leg room is a bit tight for me. Cannot stretch my legs to the point where they feel comfortable, even with the driver's seat positioned all the way back. Also, cannot retract my legs to a comfortable position when in cruise mode, due to the floor raising by a couple of inches slightly ahead of the front of the seat.

Isn't the 09 supposed to have a bit more space and be just as tall? I believe it was Car and Driver, they had a guy that was 6'6'' that was perfectly comfortable in the drivers seat on a long trip.

I think head room was on of the beat features of the Fit desgin (both generations). There was PLENTY of head room for me w/ a helmet on at 6'1" tall.

I suppose it all depends on one's definition of "comfortable".

I'm 6'1" & 200 lbs. There's plenty of headroom -- almost too much! -- but like nearly every other car I've ever driven, I can't see all of the instrument panel (e.g., the turn signal indicators) unless I put the steering wheel all the way up. I'd like it if the driver's seat could be lowered about an inch.

on edit: Okay, so the question has certainly been answered by now. Serves me right for not reading the date on the OP. My point (about instrument panel visibility mattering too) stands, though.

I have a pretty strong feeling that sometime in the last six years the OP has found his answer.
