Is this weird?

My girlfriend constantly mistakingly calls my car a Honda "Wii". I'm not sure why exactly. I mean, I have a Nintendo Wii, but it's not like it's brought up in conversation very much at all. And why is the name applied to my car? Is this weird? Anyone else have this predicament?

haha, no she doesn't surprisingly. But I actually do think it might be because of the game package, the "Wii fit". I think their marketing is similar too, something that is cheap, practical and fun for all ages.

lol it wasn't THAT long ago! it was no more than 7 years ago; i don't know when they stopped (or if they ever did) but the last time i checked ~7 years ago, there were still vtech phones.

I just got a cordless vtech phone at Costco a little over a year ago.. It seems to work pretty well so far

maybe its cause when she rides in the fit and you go down a hill it reminds her of a roller coaster and she throws her hands in the air and says "WWWWWWWWWiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii"

No, when I drive like that, she just turns to me and goes, "Babe, it is not that serious..."

Yeah I shoulda worded it differently. But it was 15 years ago, in 1993 I used to work for an electronics retailer, and I still remember when they sent us the models to put on display, the whole sales crew made fun of the name (ie. Is it DOHC, or SOHC?), and threw the handsets around like footballs.. ahh the memories. A few years later they weren't selling that good (with that retailer) so they stopped carrying them, the retailer also went out of business a few years after that too.. Irony..

I'm sure they must still sell some models here and there. sorry to derail.

With all this talk about Wii Fit, I'm thinking of adding a Wii sticker to my car and really throwing people off... Wiiiiiiiiiiii
Maybe take off the H logo and put a Nintendo logo.
