Thumbs up Fit Hybrid!

http://www.platinum.matthey.com/medi...140775203.html

This sounds like a perfect car.

Honda, give us a 1-litre engine, CVT, and the Hybrid technology. For only $1,700 more? Sounds like a deal to me.

If they don't supe up the car like they are with the american Fit, this would be cheaper than the US gasoline only fit.

$1700 may seem like alot of money to some people or not much to others but when comparing $1700 to fuel, that is alot of fuel. If it costed $20 to fill up a full tank for a Fit which im guessing it would be less even with california gas prices, $1700 worth of fuel would equate to 85 full tanks of gas. To some people that might seem like alot of gas stops and maybe others who drive alot fill alot more then that in a year. To me personally thats more then I drive in a year.

One thing also to note here is that Hybrids usually will have a bit higher resale value being that there are less of them made and the initial sale is higher then there gasoline counterparts so that translates into a bit higher resale value so a Fit Hybrid will most likely after 2 or 3 yrs hold a higher resale value then a Fit Sport of the same model year.

Not going to happen in America anytime soon. They already market the Fit as a budget alternative to the Civic Hybrid. The Fit already overlaps the Civic's price point, no way they want more competition for the Civic Hybrid.

I like the simplicity of a non-hybrid. They should just bring over the more efficient engines and transmissions.

stupid. Hybrids are heavy and too complex. The Fit's charm is economy + fun. Add hybrid powertrain weight, narrower tires to get that ultra MPG rating they need to sell, plus the cost of admission AND repair in the future.

It will still be cheaper than a Civic Hybrid. I estimate $17.5k.
