This may be a dumb question or may already have a thread about it, but i couldnt find it. I see stuff like "GE8, SSM, etc" what are those for??

 

GD is the 1st gen Fit. GE is the 2nd gen Fit. and SSM=storm silver mettalic or whatever. I'm not exactly sure because i have a black Fit...which is NHBP(night hawk black pearl). =]

 

There's a sticky in the newbie section that has a dictionary of many of the abbreviations you will find here on fitfreak. A few off the top of my head:

NHBP or NBP - Nighthawk Black Pearl
MR - Milano Red
LMM - Lunar Mist Metallic
BBP - Blackberry Pearl
VBP - Vibrant Blue Pearl
BOM - Blaze Orange Metallic
TW - Tafetta White
SSM - Silver Storm Metallic (or storm silver metallic or whatevs)
TBM - Tidewater Blue Metallic
BAP - Black Amethyst Pearl
OR - Orange Revolution
RS - Road Sailing
GD3 - 07-08 model Fit (aka the good one)
GE8 - 09+ fit

and then of course the general internet (l33t sp33k) type of stuff (i.e. lol, rotfl, wtf, etc...)

everyone just shortens what their fit is. chassis code and color is what you see as abriviations. gd3 vbp is what whips me around corners.
