New Car & Driver Quote

Thought the fit freaks would like this...

"The Honda [Insight] is more invigorating to drive than the Prius - that's perhaps the feeblest of praise - but the enthusiast litmus test seems to be whether you'd trade the Insight's dozen-mpg advantage to drive the cheaper, far more spacious, light-years quicker, and exceedingly more exciting standard-issue Honda Fit. I certainly would." - Dave Vanderwerp C&D March 09

I'd get the new Insight. Don't know if I would trade my Fit for it, but I definitely do like them, more so than the new Prius anyway.

The Insight is all cool and stuff for fuel economy, but there is only one thing to say:
FIT FTW!

i will do the same as Super Mario, keep the Fit and buy an Insight. as soon as i pay off my Fit i'll be back at Honda to buy an Insight. by then i should know whether the suspension parts are fully compatible/interchangeable with the GE8 and/or how much work is involved in making it work. a drop on DD comfortable shocks and lightweight wheels would make me a happy Insight owner

i read from Edmunds Inside Line that the EX model Insight will have flappy-paddles ... fun little novelty item IMO, Honda reminding people that they're a "fun car" company

The insight is nice. Did they put a MSRP on it yet?

Cuz if it is close to Prius, the fit is ahead of the game payback wise for like 6+ years.
I know they were talkin $18K before the dollar tanked compared to the yen.

last estimate was $18.5k for the Insight when Toyota released pricing on a stripped version the previous gen Prius (japan only) hovering around 20k. IIRC, it was autoblog that featured the article.
