For the first time today Honda Canada lists the Fit in the lease page.
Not sure if the link will work for everybody, provinces also have diff. sales tax rates. We all pay the GST. If the feds reduce it to 6% it works out
to about a $196 saving.

Here is the link; http://www.honda.ca/HondaCA2006/Fina...pe&yr=2005&L=E

The link defaults to the first in the drop down list-Accord.
Fit models are at the very btm.

Currently tight on cash, and need a new car, Fit looks nice and it's by honda.

How much should I put down to make the monthly payment lighter?
It will cost me around $600/month ball park to finance it, can't affort it when I have a kid. Hate getting a used car cause I don't want to visit the mechanics every month.

Thanks
North Vancouver Honda told me $2000 down on a 48 month lease would work out to about $320 month including tax on a Fit LX. About $20/month for each additional $1000.

Looks like the interest rate on leasing is 7.95%... Not sure how much room Honda will be able to lower that.

6.29% is Honda's "Super Preferred" buy rate?

That sorta sucks. My credit union will give me 5.49% on a new car up to like 72 months, lower for shorter terms. I could probably even beat that somewhere else.

there is no interest rate on leasing folks. it's called a money factor. and it is generally lower, when calculated, than preferred buy rates
