Vanity Mirror?

I can't find which thread it was, but did anybody figure out why the driver's visor has a mirror and none on the passenger side?

It's so that you can reflect back the highbeams of the SUV tailgating you, without disturbing the rear-view mirror.

Its for those women drivers who want to do their makeup whilst driving .

I guess CA and US missing quite a few options, we got them in our Jazz's over here in the UK.

They didnt add a mirror due to cost savings. It shouldnt be too hard to add a JDM/UK drivers side visor to compensate for this.

Yeah, where can a guy get one of those?? The after market mirrors are nasty. That item would be a great idea for a group buy. Seems odd Honda would do this, to save what?? $3???

3 bucks * 50000 (fits made for US) = $150,000. Every little cost saving adds up to the bean counters.

True, but $3 a unit. Come on, up the price of the car $5. $2 profit x 50,000 = $100,000.

Maybe it's so a new Fit owner can see the expression of joy on his face as he scoots away.
I wrote down the factory numbers and will see if I can find out more.

I have never felt the need to have a vanity mirror in my car.

Some people don't get the joke. A previous poster asked why there was no pass. mirror. I wondered if it was one of those double-struck coin things.

Maybe Honda's factory missed this item being shipped to NA and they
installed them for a right hand drive car. A little glitch that may be a joke on Honda.

Here are the numbers on the visors; 80SLN-C011U9NH220L/30SLN-C010U8NH220L

In any case the only time I might use the mirror was to signal somebody if I needed
rescue.
