I don't know if this applies to all Honda dealerships, I guess it doesn't, but I was told that we weren't allowed to sell the Fit until the 21st. ( makes no sense to me)
Damn well I was meant to test-drive one today, but 2 hours before my appointment the dealer rang to say "there has been a delay" and did I want to put down a deposit. Err, not without a test drive I don't. So maybe next week for me - this is what I get for living at the ends of the earth.
I got my Fit two weeks today and I still don't sleep the whole night. Have to get up and find new things to change on it. Making it fit me, not the other way around. Here comes Summer!

We've got to put our info together. This afternoon I got a call from a dealer I'd touched base with by e-mail before I bought from another one close to home. He said he got a Fit in today and I told him I'd bought one already. I immediately called my salesman. He said my car was there, but apologized and told me I could not pick it up until April 20 -- official Honda policy. April 20 is the official release date. Their cars are being kept under wraps. Everyone seems to be getting a different date. I was also told that Honda supplies the dealers with software to log their cars into, but they haven't received it yet -- another reason why they can't let the cars leave the dealership. I was upset to say the least, especially since I'm driving a rental (a crummy one). The dealership did right by me -- they gave me a loaner and arranged to return the rental for me -- and they gave me an appointment at my convenience to come by on Thursday to get my Fit. I also asked to go in the back and sit in my car and they let me. They could not even bring it out front where other people would see it. Maybe that's why Marketing changed the name from Jazz to Fit -- they knew that Americans would be having a "Fit" when we were subjected to Honda America's restrictions. It is one thing to build up suspense in the general population, but for those of us who have been loyal to Honda for many years, and bought cars sight unseen, this is inexcusable. Marketing is full of bottom feeders. I'd like to ream corporate out for this, but they'd take revenge on my dealer.
I find it is best to concentrate on other things. I have been able to for a while but I am back posting on this forum so obviously it isn't working right now.
