Wheels trend in and out of fashion and I've been around long enough to see soooo many trends. The wheels EVERYONE who is ANYONE have to have one year, become dated and sometimes an embarrassment to have a couple years later.

Steelies are on everything. They work. They're round, and they hold tires. LOL!

They can painted to match the car. Add in a center cap of your choice (doesn't have to be a baby moon). Maybe a beauty ring.

Here's green:

And there is the option of having the wheels polished or plated:

Just tossing out ideas here! I know that many people will use steelies ONLY in winter. Having the option of polished steelies would be nice. Especially on the silver cars!

I recently bent one of my wheels, so I'm riding on some steelies till I get that wheel replaced.

They're 14's that came off of a DC teggy. They just barely clear my front calipers, it's scary.

yeah, but what about the rubber? or do you guys just roll on stock 65-70 series tires? I guess with the smaller wheel, you can still drop the car and not have any rub issues right>?

Why do I keep losing the image from the first post on this page?

I haven't seen the image yet. Where did you upload it? You may have something that limits the bandwidth daily. Which means that you will lose the image when the limit has been reached each day.

Every single time this page is loaded, it accesses the bandwidth, which is why hotlinking is discouraged.

On the other hand, for the businesses that I have hotlinked to, they may well get business as a result of the link. Probably fine by them. And I really do think the wheels that I have linked to DO look good on the Fit.

Taffettawhite - I just did a paste into the post rather than linking. It's a poor image since it's from my cell, but if I get the chance I will try to upload it to Photobucket.

I'm thinking this weekend I'm painting them glossy black with blue lugs. Should I paint the center cap or leave it silver/chrome? I need to clean them and polish them.

I'm assuming those should fit the stock steelie from a Fit.

Any opinions on going up a size in steelie to the 15'' from a GE8? Right now I'm running 14'' with 185/65/14 tires but I would like a wider wheel.

Well theyre tapered lugs, like any other tuner lugs, its not the best idea to run them on stockies. But it's not like this car is hella fast and Im not going on touge runs or anything with this tire/wheel combo, so it's straight. I check em periodically anyways.

15's would be nice.

those full moon caps are basically exactly what i was thinkin. it's gonna be a while til i can afford rimz and the hubcaps killed me. the steelies just look sooooooooooooooo exposed and i haven't figured out which old honda center cap will fit. so hrmmm full moons....

also has anyone noticed that the ge base steelies have graduated size holes? they get larger as you go around the rim. are all steel wheels like this?

You know pretty much what they would look like now. And the full moon disks are much like the cool wheels Canada gets for the LX Fit. I LOVE the way those look.

I still haven't gotten around to painting my wheels! I'm lazy. I need to tint the windows ASAP, I love the painted steelies with blacked out windows look from above.

Is there anyplace to find center caps that would fit an 09 Fit Base Model online?
