I've heard about the "cat-like reflexes" one too, but have yet to see it. I don't watch much TV anymore anyway.

I've seen it. The Fit comes out of the ceiling, which has headlight-esque windows on it, upside-down and then flips over at the last second. I found it funny that they stamped "fictionalized" on the ad. Like anyone would believe it really lands on its feet?

There's like a brief spot right before this part that has a Luchadoras looking guy on it.

These ads are a mess. They don't seem to target any specific market. Just there to get you talking about "this car, ya know?" in all "those strange ads".

 

Yeah, I was showing my Fit to my boss today, and she said, "Oh! I just saw a commercial for it last night! It just jumps from the ceiling and zooms away."

Her general reaction to the car was, "It's so cute!" as was the reaction of the other girls. The one guy said, "I like the body colored lights." So, it has mass appeal!

 

I like the one where the fit eats the SUV, after it swallowed a sedan which had just dinned on a compact! Kinda like the food chain thing. The mullet one sucks. My dealer showed me their internal "How to sell this car" sales video. The video seemed to imply that the Fit will be more of a draw to the show room, i.e. to sell more Civics. Not much margin.

 

I got some more "Oh yeah, I saw that weird commercial..." comments this week.

Everyone thinks it's cute because it's very small. One of my friends used to have a Mini, so he was quite impressed by the interior space. (They got rid of the Mini due to all of its mechanical problems)

I've also been told it looks like a shoe.
