sport stick knob nicer than base knob?

Hey. Do u know if the sport stick is nicer? When i test drove the one i got, i noticed the stick was nicer than i remembered when i had test drove a base earlier
. AFter, i test drove another base, and notice the base stick is this plastic piece of crap, while the sport stick is this cute ball, whose upper hemisphere is a spike ball, bottom half is quilted, and all rubber (cept the "cap" w/ the numbers), and the numbers on the "cap" looks bigger. Did honda forget to mention this in the "Sport Trim adds:"

http://automobiles.honda.com/models/...?ModelName=Fit does NOT look like this one in "B3" position of the thumbnail. Looks better.

Cute ball? Maybe they tossed in the aluminum shifter knob upgrade into some kind of appearance package?

My Base looks exactly like the one in B3. I like it well enough. Looks way better the plastic piece of crap shifter that my dad's old 280Z has. Later on, I might replace mine with one that will match my exterior paint or my car seat covers whenever I get those.

I see a school bus in the base model and the boot fitting that I would have to change to some sort of leather or suede.

I think it's slightly nicer? drknife showed an interior night pic of his and it glowed blue. My base model's shifter knob doesn't do that.

maybe it's a reflection of the light from the radio screen?

No sport fit manual owners to confirm if this stick is standard for all sport models, or did i get lucky?

My sport shift knob looks like the one pictured just above. It has the metal plate in the top with the numbers. I don't know if it glows at night though.

I think all the sport model shifters are a little nicer then the base model.

My first ride, in High Scool was a '69 MGB. So I kinda got a soft spot for the bellows type shifter boot. Ditch the rental car (euro-rental) looking knob.

OK - at my dealer yesterday. They have base and sport MT's on the lot (no markup either!!!)

The shift knob is different between them.

Sorry for the glare on the pics - cell phone camera isn't the best, but you can see that they are different. Sport knob is definately larger!!

I didn't even know there was a difference. I'll be willing to sell my sport Knob if anyone's interested.
