Oh well, so much for stereotyping!
during the initial honda fit training, they had this video with potential customers.

a couple, young asian girl and young white male, somewhat urban hip look.
a 30-40 year old engineer/teacher looking guy.
a young early 20 surfer looking guy.
and a late 20s looking black female.

i'd think you fit into the 30-40 year old engineer/teacher looking guy.

I don't know; upscale badge, available automatic, rear seat, massively heavy, it certainly isn't intended for track rats.

There's a large number of girls around here that own a G35 and know absolutely nothing about their car or how to drive it.

Well, my local dealer isn't going below $17520 for the stock Sport AT (plus tax, docs, title obviously - walkout $18.5K) which I don't particularly feel like paying. So it may be back to looking at second hand Mazda 3s for me. Shame, quite liked the car, and hanging out here.

Good call, the Mazda 3 is my second choice in this segment too. If the dealer won't help you with a Fit, do the smart thing and pass it up.

I see the Fit as a chick car! it's soo cute! Other than that I like it cuz of the gas milage and the price isn't bad at all. Also I drive an MPV right now (most of the time, mom's car) and I like a roomy car.. haha yeah

i get around 270-290 to the tank (roughly 13 gallons on each fill) if i stay out of boost, not bad for 400hp.

dont ask how much if i get on it, mpg is in the single digits.

Red face Ah, gee...

...I better not mention the fact that given the flexible interior arrangements for carrying cargo in the Fit I often describe the this model as the grocery mom car.

With the reclining magic seats, I imagine there are a lot of other things you can do in the Fit!

The Mazda 3 is a compact car which is just a segment above this Fit although it is a hatch!

It maybe one of the current and best dollar/hp/value/quality builds out there.

Jesus: I have to say well done for starting a fun thread. The way I see it, if a chick is driving it, it's a chick car. If a dude is driving it, it's a dude car. Either way, IMO they have made a wise choice for them. I have seen modded ones in Bangkok that look very aggresive, so I think it's a great vehicle for showing your own personality.

Alas, it's also a gas-guzzler for this class of car--the 2.3-liter I-4 Duratec engine has way inferior fuel economy to that of the Fit's L15A VTEC engine.

It would be pretty close to the Fit (in mpg) if they just put in the 2.0 engine.

i disagree. A purple pontiac sunfire is a chick car, no matter who is driving it.

Is it too late to backpedal and say I was referring to the Fit specifically? . You are on the money with that one!

Okay, so I have always wondered who you guys/girls are. Are you actually military ID wielding members of the armed forces (basic training, MOS school, the whole bit), or are you civilians that are employed by the army under the GS pay scales? OR, are you not affiliated with the US Army at all, but some other government organization?
