Ours is Blackberry Pearl. I'm happy with it, I wanted a white one but my wife thought it was too plain. It's a change from the norm and I like how it looks. Keeping it looking clean is not that bad since we keep it in the garage.

I went with black, it may have its negatives but it looks so sweet when it's clean and especially at night.

I loved the Blackberry Pearl the first time I saw it online, purple is my fave color, and that was pretty damn close. Just wondering, are they really that hard to find? I did a quick bit of research online, went down to my local dealer and just picked up the one I wanted, in my color. Was I just super lucky????

I am an alumnus from the University of Illinois. The Fit Sport comes in Orange with subtle blue accents on the gray interior.

I always thought that Orange Revolution was the color for me, though white was really starting to grow on me. Then my dealership knocked an additional $400 off the orange Fit they had because it wasn't selling (an orange M/T subcompact is kind of a hard sell, I guess) and I was happy as a clam. It looks great and it's easy to find in parking lots.

Choosing A Color

I cruised the Honda website A LOT while waiting for my car. Prior to ordering, I ruled out all colors I'd previously owned (White, black) red was a no-no, silver too bland. That left BOM & VBP. I considered BOM for a moment...but since my favorite color is blue (followed by green) it came down to VBP, which I abolutely LOVE, as my plan was to accent it w/ minor chrome accents. Too bad Honda has such lmited colors for the Fit..no green, yellow, oh, well!
'07 VBP Fit Sport 5MT w/ minor appearance & Comfort mods!!

For me, my color selection is always a mish-mash of what strikes my fancy at the time, what the dealer is offering on his lot (hopefully, at a discount), what other color cars I currently (or previously owned), plus the color of my home, and the current positioning of earth's polar axis (precession of the equinoxes is certainly a valid factor in this heavy topic). Anyway, this lengthy equation generated the answer for my '09 Fit Sport: Blue Sensation Pearl!! Luv it!

I asked myself, "Hey, which color do you think you'd like?" and I answered myself "NHBP", and lo, I beheld it was good.

I picked black because I change the style of my car every couple of years, so I can paint the car any color and the black engine bay matches and the black headlights match. Imagine if I bought the blue and then I wanted to paint it orange when you open the hood the bay would be blue and the lights would be blue and it would look dumb.

If you actually are able to do that, your choice of black makes great sense....If for some reason you don't get around to making changes that involve painting you will still have a color that's great with about any accents that you chose.... Kind of like motorcycles with black frames and whatever you like on fenders, tank and whatever.

Thats exactly why black is such a great color and if you get bored of black you change the color and TADA you got a brand new car.

I am thinking about insulating the roof on my silver car and having it painted from front to back from the waist line up in black.... I have seen that type of paint scheme used on a variety of vehicles and it creates a visual appearance of being lower when done with very dark window tint and subtle accent stripes.

Just my opinion but I think the silver would look hot with black headlight, black hood, blk roof, blk hatch, & lowered on some nice blk wheels. Just my 2 cents

Necos07.... Some money is going to have to go into making more boost and tuning to exploit the full potential from that before I get around to paint.... Lowering will have to include bagging it on at least the front due to the condition of the private road to my house that amounts to driving off road at times....I was thinking the same as you when I bought my black wheels and met a kid at an auto parts store that has done some paint jobs on some other Japanese cars that way and wants to do mine..... I've been adding to my stock portfolio while stock prices were down and going to cut back on that pretty soon because are increasing.... As I get older time increasingly flies by at an ever increasing rate, but with age I notice that I have more patience to wait until I have saved the money and can do without other things to make it happen sooner.... I will own this car until I die unless I get too feeble to drive it first. I have had it 37 months and have less than 24000 miles on it.

Unfortunately, blue sensation was the only color they had left in manual since all the Fits were selling like hot cakes due to the clunker program. I initially wanted silver and tried to do a dealer trade, but that didn't work so well. I just got the blue anyway, and I think I like it better.

I went with Black...

Since I got the base model, I was limited in colors.

I didn't want white because it gets dirty/shows dirt too quick and I'm just not that neurotic about my car. (At least not yet.) Although from what people said here about it, maybe black wasn't such a good idea...

I didn't want red.. cause I was never really a red car type of person.. plus the bright (orangy) red car(s) that my family had kept getting hit.. even when parked!!

The light (tidewater) blue was just.. not right for me.. kind of a baby blue.. not my thing. (Not to mention, there were very few of them at the dealers I went to.. I probably only saw one or two of them.)

So that lead me with Black, Silver and Dark Blue (blue sensation pearl)...

I just thought black was more discreet.. and more flexible when it comes to just sitting in various areas I need to travel... and more flexible when it comes to accessorizing/customizing, etc.

I would have gone with Silver or Dark Blue if I didn't have a choice or got a really really good deal on them. However, soooo many cars on the road these days are silver... and I would have preferred a darker silver than is currently on the fit... if it had been a darker silver/grey I would have gone for it.

As far as the sport's colors go... I really have to say I think they're hurting themselves by calling the orange... orange.. I really think it's a very attractive coppery color that people don't normally think of when they think "orange."

I also think the Blackberry is a very attractive color.. however, in different angles/different lighting it looks quite different.. it seems to take on either a very purple tone, or a very dark tone. If it only reflected the very dark less-purpley tone I would have gone for it. If my mom was buying a fit she said she would have chosen the Blackberry.

I saw a photo of the blackberry pearl Fit here, on this forum, before I was even 100% sure I wanted one. That tore it, seeing the beautiful purple with all the flecks of turquoise, etc. I knew I had to have a Fit in that color.

The ironic thing is that I had test-driven someone else's BBP Fit a couple of weeks before that, and thought it was navy blue, because it was a rainy, cloudy, sunless day! I told hubby I wouldn't want a navy blue car! Ha ha. It took me almost another month of dedicated searching to find my car, and it was 2 states away and had to be shipped to me. But I got it, and I still LOVE IT.

2nd choice would be BOM, or the new color OSM.

And Tidewater Blue has grown on me, over time. It's so rare, and it's so femmy.
