Originally I went to the dealership looking for either a Black, White, or Yellow one. I did not want silver because my last car was silver and wanted something different. I did not want the blue just because it wasnt my favorite blue. I'm a fan of that dark SI blue, if they had it I would have totally jumped on it. The VBP looks good too dont get me wrong, but to me it looks too light in direct sunlight. Than discovering that they did not have the Yellow one in the states. And no white one available at the dealership, later I found out that the TW only came out in 07? So i got the black one. A week after i bought my Fit, I went to japan for 2 weeks for vacation. Right out of Narita Airport. I see TONS of Fits running around, it was awesome. On the way to the hotel, the bus I was in was following a Yellow Fit for the longest time. I was jeaous. HAHA

Oh yes its hot here in california. This is the 2nd summer that I've owned my NHBP Fit. And I already gone through like 3-4 JDM wakaba driver badges that i stick on the passenger side window. When i come back to my car, the damn thing is melted and curved. HAHA

How I decided what color I want

It is a tough decision. I was stuck between Black, Blue Sensation Pearl, or the Blackberry Pearl. I really like all three...but I can only have one . I went to a dealer with all three in stock...it was a nice sunny day...the Blackberry Pearl and the Black Fits were parked next to each other. I saw how the Blackberry Pearl sparked in the sunlight...more so than the Black...also it had blue flecks in the paint. So I gotta have the Blackberry Pearl! Love it. The fact that it is a dark color doesn't bother me at all...I drive a Black Civic now...no biggie.

I know it's hard to decide, but you will find a way...and pick the perfect Fit for you. This is just what helped me make a final decision. Good Luck!

I originally wanted Black, followed by Orange Revo. We had called the salesman and asked him to find a MT Fit sport with Black or Orange in the area, and he said he had both colors ready for me to choose. We get down there in less than 3 hours, and the two Fits magically dissapeared. One was sold and the other one morphed into an auto. Slightly agitated, I stuck my head out the door and looked at the other colors they had, and told him I would take a Fit in white, red, or dark blue. He found a red MT sport in mississippi, and had it driven over to the dealer the very next day.

I do wish though I could have gotten orange...

Actually, the red GE is the one that i dont think I've ever seen in person. So you probably have the least common one(for now atleast). I think the only red GE i've seen is the one on the homepage of this forum.hahah.

There's two red GD's in my town, but I drive the only red GE that I've seen. Funny though that all the press release pictures of the Fit and pictures on the Fit website are all of a red Fit....

I purchased a blackberry one for the very good reason that it was the only sport MT on the lot, and I don't go in for deferred gratification when I'm spending that much money. The one a purchased recently is red, and the people I purchased it from told me they had ordered that color since it was highly visible and they had young children, and that seems reasonable as well. I must confess, I do like the red.

My wife and I were initially looking at a white one. I wanted the orange revolution but she said no. So we found the one with the features we wanted, in the storm silver. My previous car was silver, but lighter in color. This is more gun-metal silver, and looks nice.

Did not find a name for the lighter neon green type color.
While looking for something completely different, I came across this Honda Colour Codes in Australia. I'd guess that the colors are coded the same in all countries? So if you look around on your own car, find the color code and then check the site, you might be able to find your color's name.

Honda Colour Codes

This site shows you where the color code should be located:
Honda Paint Codes

And that Honda and Acura may have differences in specific colors that came from different factories:
PaintScratch Touch-Up Paint-Acura and Honda Factory Codes

This site has scans (with magnifying glass) for paint chips, which could be handy for some people. It doesn't appear to have all colors, but might help someone in the future. Has American, Asian, European vehicles.
http://www.autocolorlibrary.com

It's fun to see how the colors have changed over the years.

There are some lovely colors. Some have 3 coats, base, middle, top. I suppose one small advantage of having Taffeta White is that it's all one color, and it's been around for awhile. No specialty top coats or anything fancy.

That was something I thought about, when I'd see those color-changing paints. Cars do get dinged. Eventually. Or sometimes accidents. Touch up paint just isn't going to make a ding disappear on those multi-color cars and it would be difficult (I'd guess) to get the exact finish if one section of the car was damaged and needed repainting or replacement.

I had been trying to find the name of the color of this person's car:
https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/gene...tml#post717573

Their car is a 2005, but I thought maybe the color might have been one of the colors shown in the text area if it came out earlier than 2005.

Your car is much newer, being a 2009. But the color right before your color was

RAISIN MAUVE PEARL RP36P
The color codes seem to be simple. RP would be "red purple" and the last P would be "Pearl".

The one after in numbers is:
GRAYISH MAUVE MICA RP38M
A "red purple" and "mica" or "metallic" color.

Lots of "red purple" colors mentioned (I wish they had swatches for them all):
VINTAGE PLUM PEARL RP32P
AMETHYST PURPLE PEARL RP34P
URBANIGHT PEARL RP30P
DARK CURRENT PEARL RP25P
REGAL PLUM PEARL RP18P

Yours is just too new! You know the color name and it's paint code. AND you already KNOW what it looks like.

Sure, you remember it NOW, while it's all new, but you might forget someday. So maybe write it down in the manual or other important car-related paperwork. The name of the color and the paint code, just in case.

Because in five years you might need touch-up paint and asking for a purple shade won't help the paint people select the RIGHT color for you!

I wanted white, I asked the deal to get me white. 2 months later I got a call and was told they dont make white any more. I said me next two colors would be blue or black. 1 or 2 months later a black one came in. I bought the car that night. Black does look very nice when its clean, but its a PITA to keep clean

I choose red, because it is visible to other drivers on the road.
If yellow would be an option, I would consider ...

I had a Blue Sensation Pearl for 3 months.

Last M/T Sport on the lot, but was one of my top colors anyhow.

Might be forced into a blackberry pearl as a replacement Not my top pick, but maybe it will grow on me.
