Trim levels

North America got Base and the Sport models, both very good values - this said I am curious how many would like to see a third option down the road.

I think they should add another trim level above Sport. Like a Sport Lux, with a moonroof, bluetooth, and armrest.

DX - 2 speaker stereo, steel wheels
LX - 4 speaker stereo, air, power mirrors, power locks, steel wheels
Sport - All the goodies.

My LX arrives in mid July.

Oh and I like the honda.ca fit site WAAAY better then the honda.com fit site.

Unrelated, but possibly worth passing on for California folks, stopped by Shingle Springs Honda (about 30 miles east of Sacramento off highway 50 - Annette 530-391-7247) and they have not yet sold any of their four Fits. They are not marking up but are adding a few "dealer extras".

Storm silver auto sport
Blue 5 speed sport
Red five speed base
Another sport, not sure color or transmission

Looks like there are a number of people who want the Sport without the trim. I hope Honda is listening. If they really want to be cutting edge and in touch with their customers, then a quick running change like a special edition would sure do the trick.

So far it looks like over 70% want at least some other option and most want all but the "aero" - Honda is said to keep an eye on this site, lets hope!

Update for Northern California and Nevada folks, stopped by Shingle Springs Honda (about 30 miles east of Sacramento off highway 50 - Annette 530-391-7247) and they have not yet sold any of their five Fits (as of Friday). They are not marking up but are adding a few "dealer extras".

update - Red sport 5 speed
Storm silver auto sport
Blue 5 speed sport
Red five speed base
Another sport, not sure color or transmission

Also Carson City Nevada Honda has 4 fits, no mark up or "dealer added options"
White base 5 speed
White base auto
Red sport 5 speed
Storm silver auto

Anyone actually remove the sport trim yet? If so what was the process and did it leave any visable scars?

Dig the moonroof idea. But what I would really freak for is a 4wd version.

I'd looovvee a moonroof but I don't know if honda can manage the crash test ratings it wants with one.
What I'd really like is a 'LX' version
a) Go upscale on the interior - a better seat, w/height adjustment/lumbar support. this was my fav thing on the Mada 3.
b) Some more horsepower pleez
c) Center armrest
d) Telescoping steering wheel.
e) Make the body stuff optional - I don't like it at all because of the loss of ground clearance - I'm worried about the upcoming winter.........
f) Get that moonroof in!

I would like the sport without the aero except for the spoiler. I would like the spoiler. I am worried about the lower body scraping in my driveway. I should fix the driveway like my wife said today.
