removal of extra Sport trim?

I was thinking of removing just the front or front/side trim. The back part adds a lot visually to the vehicle though, imho. Has anyone tried? Photos?

more than one thread on this I think
https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/fit-exterior-modifications-jdm-styling/5024-sport-body-trim.html
couldn't find the other one with photos. It looked pretty straightforward. The base model comes with the holes for the body kit pluged I think. I dunno--don't quote me on that.

Removing the side trim will leave 5 or 6 square holes, unfortunately.

I was thinking of removing my red window spoiler so I could hang my bike rack back there. I looks like there are two removeable panels on it, and hopefully it just screws off. I really like the appearence of the underspoilers, though a big dissapointment is that you can't get mud gards for the sport.

well i would say that having the sport you can always put them back on or if you get another body kit then you can always sell the sport kit...i did not want the base cause the radio(160 watt vs 200 watt) , no cruise, no tweeters, no alloys, better looking interioron sport. I like the factory kit alot and will not touch it or take anything off...for now the looks of the car is excellent...in the loooooooooooong run maybe i will consider another body, but like EGs, EKs civics sometimes you dont need body kits cause they look good when they are hooked up clean (JDM style) with some add ons...i am content with the factory look

The base is missing stuff. Why keep the extra weight on?

I have been re-assured by two dealers in So. California that removal will not leave any telltale signs or holes in the body work. However, like you, I would like to see pictures of a Sport with the sport kit removed before I have it done.

Some photos from the underside

I'm not sure if this link will work but here's a thread from another site that has photos of the underside where the holes would be.

The link was good. Thanks. It appears that there will be no sign of the plugged holes unless you crawl under the car. That is what I was looking for. Thanks.

After staring at this photo, I'm pretty sure removing any trim is going to make it look worse, like it's sitting really high off of the ground:
