i am currently in a 2007 fit sport AT but i would jump into an 09 for the right price. i've been seeing sale commercials on tv but i was wondering how this applies to the fit? i can't seem to find anything online, and i'm hoping to upgrade whenever 09 prices start getting slashed, whenever that may be. does anyone have any info to help me out?

 

I've seen the commercials and seen the ads on the dealerships but you aren't likely to get a big drop in price on the Fit because of the already low starting price. The salesman I've talked to during negotiations all said they'd have to sell four or five Fits to make any type of "good money." You can try and as always it varies by dealership so shop around. I went around to about five dealers, found that two of them were willing to negotiate and went from there.

 

i learned about the relatively low overhead when i was first shopping for the fit. is that possibly because it is still such a new car? i hate to say this, but possibly in the future they will learn how to cut costs on the fit with cheaper parts and such. it seems that happens a lot with cars.
