Does Honda clear out 09's when 10's are released?

Just what the title says.....
I thought I'd have an 09 by now, but I am having a hard time selling my truck. At this point I am wondering if I could get an 09 Sport with Navi/VSA when the 2010's are out, for the close to the same price I could get a 09 Sport now.

I've never bought a Honda though, do they try to clear out old model years like other brands?

Considering the CARS program, you'd be lucky to find a Fit these days. Let alone get a marked down one, when the dealer can sell them around MSRP and get $4,500 from the government (and the customer can get $4,500 off).

Honda does do the opportunity knocks sale going on now, but this is it. Even during this sale they don't discount the FIT. The margin is already small on this car and they can sell them without much trouble. I just saw that the FIT is some where around 7 on the C.A.R.S. list so there is no way they will drop the price on them now.

Honda has its company sponsored programs and then dealers will run their own discounts on how fast they can move inventory. When we bought our Odyssey in February, which was when sales were pretty bad, our dealer offered us an 08 Odyssey for several thousand less than the 09 EX-L with nav and rear entertainment pack we were looking at. We could have added the rear DVD no problem. But I really wanted factory nav in that car so I passed on it. But there was much more room for playing with numbers on a car that cost that much. Still, don't be afraid to TRY and deal. Even though you may never get close to invoice, don't try to go FOR invoice. Delaers sometimes get stock much lower than national invoice.
