Bad Cash for Clunkers Paperwork
The $197.14 was verbal when I asked how much they received for my salvage.
The dealer got the $4,500 from the government on 08-08-2009 per my salesperson when I went in and talked to him on 08-14-2009.
Mine was one of the first funded for the dealer.

Update. On Saturday 9-12-09 I finally got the Sales Manager to start the payment process. He sent an e-mail to "corporate headquarters" to request they cut me a check for my salvage value. He said he would call Monday to verify they received the e-mail and let me know.
Maybe this is the first step to final resolution.

After reading about all the scrap value woes, I just want to chine in with a positive review for Park Honda in Akron, OH. I negotiated verbally to get actual scrap value, and then my sales contract had hand written "scrap value to buyer". No fixed amount, no mention of the $50. Several weeks after getting my Fit, Park Honda sent me a check for $204. I never had to follow up, or pester them about it. They seem like a really straight-up dealer. The price on the Fit was very competitive too.
