Mine does not look like that. I have I a piece of plastic covering where your coin tray is. Is this something that can be removed to reveal the coin tray? I'm scared to try and remove it myself in case mine is different underneath.

The little coin slots you see in the picture above, are available under a Civic part number, it's not hidden under the blank.

 

they sell a honda fit ash tray looks cool too. you can
use that to store your coins.

My only other suggestion would be to feed your coins
to your couch.

 

where i'm from people smash your window to steal 75 cents in nickels. i leave the glove box, ashtray, armrest, etc. open. i keep my change in a change jar at home. sucks when you need to use a parking meter, although in philly they take these little debit cards i have yet to buy.

 

hmm...have you ever considered one of those really annoying proximity sensors? lol
