What's the slot for?

When I saw some of the shots of the inside of the USDM fit I saw what looks like a slot just above the glove box lid. The RTW doesn't have this slot can anyone tell us in the RTW what it's for?

I think it's just for like, pens. That seems to be the only thing that will fit. It's a tiny ledge, basically.

Well, it's for whatever...fits.

Somebody here already posted pix of their portable navi mounted on that slot, right? With the cable to the GPS antenna...through the glove box.

It is for mens, chap stick, glue stick, gum, long skinny things, or a miniature boa constructor.

I have a small rolling toy tank that goes back and forth when I turn corners in that slot. Now if I can just figure out how to get it to shoot at passengers who like to talk when good songs are playing......

I was looking at the rubber insert in that the other day, think it pulls out so it can be washed when needed? I did not want to pull it out to findas that it's not made to come out. BTW it's a cigar holder.

I was driving in my frirends silverado and they have a handle bar. He just calls it a "oh shit" bar, probably to grab on to when scared haha. Then when he drove in my fit, i was like "is this like the oh shit bar too"? he's like "i guess so"
