headlights too low??

has anyone noticed that the headlights are way too low on low beams - high beams is great! but light from low beams seems to stop way too close.

I took it to dealer and they said the lights were calibrated correctly - but it feels dangerous to me.

I usually check the aim of headlights any time I get a new vehicle.

There is a fine line between what is best for the driver, and what dazzles on-coming traffic.

On my two most recent Honda purchases, I've not had to adjust them. It remains to be seen yet with my Fit, as it just hit CA in the Honda transportation system. Getting closer!!

I think the Civic is the same way. CR rated the headlights poorly because of this. It is fine for city driving, where you are not really using the lights to see as much as be seen, but in the suburbs it is nice to have greater distance with the low beams.

I agree that the low beam headlights don't shine very far ahead.

Yeah, same here. There is a line on the road where the lights stop. Fine in the city, bad at 100kh/h in the rain at night.

Yeah, same for me, too. May have to adjust them up, if possible, or get some Silverstars or PIAA's at the very minimum. Country roads/highways here at night are a bit scary when you have oncoming traffic and can't use the brights. Anyone know if/how they're adjustable?

I agree

I think I'm wrong, Since I look at this post then I'm right. The headlight was too low on the ground, I install the HID but not that much improve. I think I need to adjust it.

When you opent he Hood and look at the back of the headlight light, you should see a piece of metal (silver color), that's the adjustment switch.

Mine are adjusted high (great for oncoming traffic, I'm sure). I can actually seen the line where the light ends above the road. I'll have them adjust it when I take it in for its first oil change (650 miles and at 90% now...just to give you an idea of oil life).

Hmm....I think maybe the USDM/JDM fit are missing the projection scroller?

The UK Jazz has a slider next to the mirror buttons which moves the bulb/headlamps up or down.

That would be cool. Honda doesnt offer that on any car here in the states.

We would not be trusted to have something like that.
