Unhappy Tire size and ABS

Hi,

My FIT LX came with 175/65/R14 tires and I want to upgrade to 195/55/R15. According to the user manual, it will affect the function of ABS if the size is different from the original specification. I know 195/55/R15 is the size of the sport model. Is there any difference between the settings of LX & Sport model? Anybody can help?

Dont worry every car's users manual states that... Just upgrade and you should be fine...

The size that you have is not what is important - what is important is that all the tires that you have are the same size. You want all the wheels spinning at the same rate.

Thanks for your information, however 195/55/R15 is bigger than 175/65/R14 in circumference. Will the difference cause the error of speedometer and odometer? This is my concern.

The difference is only 2%. At 50 mph, that's only 1 mph difference.

Its the difference in rotating rate that activates the ASC. And f they don't spin differently inside to outside of a turn your turning will be a problem. It is important that the inside and outside tires be the same diameter. Not the wheels but the tires.
