It won't blow ice crystals like my 69 Chevelle did but time and priorities move on. The fit is no limousine but all things considered delivers excellent comfort (including AC) BANG/$ . Tint DOES help. I've only got 35% all around and it helped and still looks quite OEM.

 

I drive a 2009 Blue Sensation Pearl Fit Sport in Phoenix. The A/C isn't as powerful as my old Mazda 6 was, but it's sufficient. I bought my car at Right Honda, which tints all of their Fits on delivery and was able to find a custom fit sunshade at Tempe Honda for about $25 that covers the capacious windshield of the Fit. It's not great for most of August, but not bad enough that I'd give up the car.

 

This passed summer was unusually hot in Massachusetts with temps in the high 90's to the low 100's for months on end and I didn't find that my a/c was lacking in any way.

 

Im in Yuma... I have a 2010 TW Sport. The AC is awesome. I haven't tinted the windows yet but I will before next summer, the heat this summer sucked. I would recommend the Fit in light colors... cant vouch for black or purple though.

 

I live in Jamaica, very hot!!! My a/c on 2005 Honda Fit works very well. Too cold sometimes.

Like others said get tint. I live in SoCal and it can get quite hot. Since I have two dogs in the car a lot I needed to make sure they wouldn't overheat. One thing to keep in mind though is that the darkness isn't the only consideration w/ tint, there is also a measurement of how much heat is transmitted through and how much is reflected away. Due to this I actually got clear tints on my front windows, but they black 45% of heat transmission. Also there are different materials, some better than others, used to reflect the heat. Definitely helps though.

 

It was very hott this summer in Chicago and I too thought the a/c didn't work as well as other car's I've had, especially my 07' MINI that I had right before the Fit I do have 30% metallic window tint too. That being said, I never was uncomfortable or anything, but after a day of work in the heat it would be nice to freeze your ass off right away.

 

I just remembered the two types of tint: ceramic and metallic. My understanding is that ceramic is better at keeping heat out, plus it doesn't interfere with reception of gps, radio, etc. Also, the more metallic, or ceramic, the tint is the more it keeps out the heat. I am sure I am over simplifying, so please correct me if I am wrong, but that is the gist of it. Obviously you pay more when you get more, so you'll have to weigh that yourself. All I know is I have had tints that seemed dark in the past but didn't keep out enough heat to my liking, but now I have a tint that is less dark, but keeps out more heat -- I did pay more for that though.
