Opinions on air conditioning

I posted another thread asking about the Fit's performance driving uphill and someone noted in correlation with that that the a/c in the Fit doesn't get very cold. Do a lot of you Fit owners have that problem? The lack of power/reduction in speed going uphill isn't a deal breaker but a/c that doesn't get cool could be -- I live in GA and it's hot/humid here for most of the year. (We ran a/c at Christmas, for example.)

I have an '08 Sport GD3. My wife has a 2003 Ford Focus ZX5 with a 2.0 liter engine. Her A/C gets ice cold, even in the middle of a hot summer. Mine doesn't, it just barely keeps up. Smaller engine = less power to the A/C. If getting your car ice cold is top priority, don't buy any car with a small engine, expect it to get you places and be ice cold in the process.

Thanks for the advice. I guess I've really got some thinking to do, then. Really like the look of the Fit and I had a heck of a fun time test driving it a few years back ... but I hate sweating to and from work every summer day!
