My FiT just got tinted today!

I just brought my FiT in to get tinted today and now it looks so SEXY! Mine is the vivid blue and the tinting just makes it look that much more amazing! Just excited and wanted to shout it from the mountain tops... or the forum! Have a good day!

i got mine at 35% all around.. it does the job, if you get a limo tint on the back it really darkens it all up but i had a hard time seeing out the back when it was setup like that

Got mine 50% for fronts and 20% for the rest.

I agree about the tints, really compliments the Fit.

I'll take some pics this weekend!

I got the lightest on the front and the second from the darkest on the back... the guy said that was the most common way to do it, so I was like "sure!" I'll post some pics soon~!

How much can one expect to pay for tinting like sliverworm's? I've never had tinting done before...

Tint

Here's a question about tinting. Does anyone know if windows can generally be tinted efficiently without the removal of the interior door panels?

Depends on the installer. I've seen it done both ways. Personally, I would wait till I found one that could do it w/o taking the panels off. For the ones that take the panels off, they always seem to get something wrong when they put stuff back on.

But they put the film lower on window and it won't scratch on entry in the mechanism.

Yes, specially with the Fit's windows. What they do is tuck the inside rubberpart to get to the part where the rubber generally covers.

Yeah, I feel the same way. I think I'm going to wait at least a year before getting mines tinted by a shop. I'm even considering on purchasing a DIY kit, just to make sure it's done with care.

Any reputable installer will do it with care. How they do it (method) will be all up to you, just ask.

Installing a tint is not as easy as anyone thinks just an FYI.

Yeah, that goes without saying. I've seen many tint jobs in need of face lifts. Also seen a history of too many less than acceptable work done by shops.
