I was perusing Craigslist and came across this Honda Fit (GD3) base for sale at a dealer. With only 9550 miles on the odo, he only wants $6100 for it. Take a look the pictures (from the dealer link) and see if you can find what's wrong here.

Honestly, who would buy a car like that?

 

the car is probably salvage title. the driver side headlight housing is from a NHBP fit. haha

 

They are going for a Custom look.

 

HAHA Interesting you mentioned that, for a while there I was considering getting lights off a Silver to place on my VBP. Still may do it but only if and when my lights go poof or heaven forbid get damaged. I have this thing about replacing something that works just fine.

 

The second pic from the side has some very strange reflections in it along the edges of the doors. They look suspiciously like the OE color peeking out from under the grey. But I could be wrong....

 

i think thats from the flash and wet floor.. but pretty sure car was wrecked

 

I kinda thought that also, the thing thats wierd is that it appears to be wet, like the inside portion of the door is dry and around the perimeter is still wet.

it's a cheap price that's for sure! almost 1/2 price. It's impossible to tell the detail of this car from the 1.5 meg pix. lol. but If I saw it in person on a rack and liked it for 6.1K it 'd be gone.

 

I actually went down to look at the '01 Insight they had but also looked at this car 2 weeks ago? It wasn't near as bad in person as the pictures show. It's definitely been hammered in the front right corner but the silvers look much better in person that they do in the pictures. This is the car that kind of started me looking for a Fit instead of the Insight. I picked up my used black 2008 Fit Sport last weekend. Love it so far.

 

Hmmm... the price is now $9500....

 

The funny thing (at least to me) is the fact that it has two different colored headlights. The aftermarket body supply co's headlights are, AFAIK, only available in black. Why not just put two black headlights on it and sell the SSM headlight on eBay??? They'd actually make money on the sale.
