So this has to be the most schitzo thread I've ever read. It went from mod vs. not mod, to muscle cars to MILFs talking about sex, and christening back seats.

yeah yeah... so you lowered and added rims and exhaust and tint all for performance, and not once it crossed your mind on how it all looks.

"your Fit looks great!"
"really? I never considered the looks, I do it all for performance, but thanks anyway."

riiiiiiiiiight

Women aren't necessarily materialistic if they look at your car. They might be materialistic if they look at your wallet.

Not in my experience. Nobody walks around with an open wallet. They walk around with nice clothes and nice cars.

So what's wrong with looking at a guy with nice clothes and a nice car? You want a skag to be attracted? Or someone who respects you for respecting yourself?

Having nice clothes and a nice car does not mean you respect yourself.

Whatever kind of clothes or car you are wearing or driving now will be laughed and sneered at for not being stylish in just a very short time.... People that play that game are much too superficial to waste time on. My newest pair of jeans are 8 years old and a great deal of what I wear is old enough to vote and are as likely to do so as most of the people that rather go shopping than choose who will represent them in government.

This discussion has become rather pointless. Carry on, Turboman.

Yea man ur right for sure on this. But i would say i do buy clothes that i think are nice but not what every one says is in i guess. I like to look different from every one and uniqe. But from what i have seen style is like a revolving circle. Some thing that is the "in now look" will be it agian sooner or later. Same with cars look how most car company are bringing back older modles and trying to make them look retro. Like mustang, camero, charger. Me i find myself still likeing the original verzion better than the new retro.

Sorry Julian.... I guess that life in general seems pointless at times, like right after Memorial Day for a person that can't sleep recalling 18 and 19 year old Marines that lost their lives before they ever had a life as an adult and could make decisions about anything like what to wear or buying a car.....

Coyote, I didn't mean you. For some reason, Turbo and I started going back and forth and I am not even sure why...I am sure I am not communicating clearly with him. So that is why I decided to stop our banter.

I thank you deeply and sincerely for your service, and I am grateful to the core for the ones who never came home....it must have been horrible to train with guys, love them as a family and then see them shot full of holes...I literally cannot fathom it, and as a female, I am not cut out for the horrors of war....I know my strengths and weaknesses....

Thank you Coyote, thank you. I am fortunate that the men who served in my family, on both sides, all survived, even the one who was imprisoned during the Civil War.

Lol I'm simply disagreeing with what you are saying. Don't take it personally, but you stated that guys mod cars for women to look at and then look at the guy. That is not the case for myself.

Well said, however,...allow me say that "...not being cut out for the horrors of war." has little to nothing to do with being female. Those who serve, by choice or draft, represent a proud group who do know honor. In a way we are all part of that group if we know pride.

No one is prepared for those horrors.

Memorial Day, once known as Decoration Day is a time set aside to pay tribute to those who sacrificed their lives in service to our country. They are as much us as we are them because they all came from our ranks.

Hats Off to All

Here is exactly what I said:

Well OF COURSE that is what mods are for!!! Duh. Yeah, it's "for yourself," but it's because people NOTICE that you even care. And guys do it so girls will look, and then look at them. Girls do it to attract the guys that mod too. Cars = sex.

I stand by that statement. Cars do = sex in so many ways.

I don't know, though - do gay guys mod their cars so other guys look??? I never thought about it except from the hetero perspective.

And I also stand by the statement that even if you are in denial, you do mod your car at least partially so it gets noticed. But no more arguing, OK?
