@3500 miles- 60%, oil is colored, light brown, before mid way to dark, but still 'see through.' Can't tell that it used any oil, which is impressive. obviously not old school.

Mine's at 90%, 1292 miles. Don't think I'm going to wait for 10,000 to change the oil no matter what the manual says. No oil consumption, and still fairly new looking oil though.

40% @4849- first oil change, oil still light brown, didn't use any- very impressive. you do need a wrench to get the filter off first time.

Back at 100%, I may be noticing some mpg improvement, last 330 = 39.4 US

Had my Fit since April 20. Miles a little over 4600, with oil life at 50%. Combo highway in moderate to heavy traffic; and stop & go in town -- about 50/50.

I hit 80% at 1555 miles. Assuming all other things equal, that would put 0% at 7775 miles.

Based on the title of the thread, does the percentage reading of oil life correspond to the viscosity of the oil? Is the car measuring the oils ability to flow and it's "thickness"? Or doe it use mileage and factors such as rpm to determine when to change the oil? Just curious.

I normally never wait this long to get oil changed, but I was in a bind...my local dealer was booked a week out and I had to get it changed on vacation.

At just over 6000 miles, the oil was showing 10% and coming up every time I started the car. I'd have to hit the Trip Odometer button once to get it to go away.

I figure I'll probably change oil every 5000 miles. I used to change religiously every 3000 miles, but that is about 3 weeks at this point; there is no WAY I am going to change it that often.

How many miles do you guys rack up per day? Just curious to what these numbers amount to.

Does the display reset itself or is there something special you have to do?
