What's your oil viscosity at???

I am at 675 miles and 90% oil life (corrected). I just want people to see what everyone else is getting to make sure I am not driving the car TOO hard hahah.

I think the percentage indicates your oil life, not the viscosity. If your viscosity reaches 0%, then I think your engine will blow up LOL!

If I remember right from the owner's manual, 100 actually means "anywhere from 91 to 100%", 90 is "81 to 90%", 80 is "71 to 80%" and so on ... so, you'd actually have to catch it when it first changes from 100 to 90%, to really know when it hit 90%.

Mine changed from 100% to 90% at about 580 miles. It changed to 80% at about 1290 miles. I was able to se it by cycling through the display by pressing the button repeatedly every 10 miles or so. The computer monitors the way you drive and adjusts the oil life accordingly, so everyone should get a unique set of number for this.

Mine changed to 90% at 560 miles. I'm a little over 1,000 now so I'm watching it to see when it'll switch again. I drive 100% in the city, about 12 miles to work each way.

My driving consists of mostly highway miles driving around 60-75mph. I say about 70% highway and 30% city and getting around 35-36mpg.

Just an update - the oil life gauge switched from 90 to 80% yesterday. The miles were 1,240 when it switched. If I'm figuring it correctly, that should put my first oil change at around 6,000 miles if my driving habits stay the same. I'll be happy with that.

Just remember, you may still need to add oil to the car since the oil life does not measure the quantity of oil in your car. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Glad to see the miles are different for different folks: Just shows it's really doing what it supposed to. I figure with city driving I'm not going to get as many miles per oil change as someone who drives mostly highway.
