there are more than 2 Fit Sports with a M/T in the US. this forum alone proves that. Ive got a CBP M/T Sport. i was pretty lucky to find it too. it just so happened that there were only 3 Fits at my local Honda Dealership and all three where base models. but that previous day a the lady traded in her Fit sport (now my Fit sport) for and MDX. And it wasnt just any sport, its was my Honda Dealership's showroom model back from in 2009 when the second gen Fit first came out. so not only did i score a M/T Fit sport, i scored a M/T Fit sports with LOTS of optional accesories!

goodluck getting your Fit!

He means in dealer's inventory, and even that seems impossible. My local dealer got 3 in in the last month (I think they're sold now, though). They are trickling in, but I think Honda doesn't want to sell the car here.

In the fall of '08 we had to order ours and wait until Honda built Sport M/Ts with navi. They built an entire batch around Thanksgiving. All of us who were waiting got them in mid-January of '09. I think they only sell about 5% with M/T.

Cheers.

a simple search on cars.com produced at least 3 manual fit sports in the chicagoland area so obviously that person isnt taking about the entire US

cars.com had quite a few new M/T Sports listed in the Chicago area when we were looking, too. Every single new Sport M/T Navi listed was bogus. Our local dealer's online inventory was a few days out of date as well. There were several listed as far away as North Carolina that were also nonexistent. We simply struck out and had to order. Perhaps things are different now, though.

Cheers.

When I did my search last week, I only used cars.com (and kbb.com) as a reference. Once I found a listing, I contacted the dealer.

The first time, I found one at McGrath City Honda... I only spoke to the automated script online (it was really late at night). The script "confirmed" they had a SSM Sport M/T. When I got to the dealer the next day, they had already traded to another dealer DAYS before.

Then, when I went back, for shits and giggles, I only looked at "last 1 day" listings (meaning new listings)... 1 new one showed up at Matteson. I called them, talked to a LIVE person, they said the car wasn't listed in their computers, but it was on Cars.com AND their website. She said it happens if the car is still inbound. Went to then dealer the next day (1 hr drive!!! at least it was a Saturday)... confirmed with the sales guy, put a deposit on it. That was this past saturday.

The sales guy called me today, said the car could be in as early as tomorrow and no later than thursday. WOOT!!!

This is better than the other car I had originally put a deposit on. An SSM Sport w/Navi was "promised" to arrive around the 4th of June. I get a call on the 8th telling me it won't arrive until 22nd. THEN, on the 9th, I get another call saying it will be even later, from the 25th-28th!!! wtf? After I complained about the manager's so-called promise, he tried to BS me. BAD move, now my money is going elsewhere.

Basically, what I'm saying is... if you're looking for something RARE/hot... don't get your hopes up for any listing more than a day or two... BUT, call anyway. You just might get lucky.

BTW... if you're willing to travel... there should be a few Sport M/Ts in TN and MN... at least in SSM color. When I called McGrath City Honda (to ask them to help confirm)... the guy said that at least 5 dealers in TN have SSM Sport M/Ts. I didn't check other colors.

A benefit of living in CA, we decided yesterday we wanted an orange Sport MT. Called 2 dealers in our area, drove out the door 30 minutes later. Theres a lot of thing I dont like about CA but I guess car availability cannot be on that list. I would have waited too.

I'd be stunned if you could duplicate that anywhere in the mid-West. Even had your color!

Cheers.

I was just lucky...had been looking for months... Was in contact with one dealer...he was tryin to get me to take his only sport mt but it was ORM which I didn't want. I told him I had decided to pass on that deal and for him to just let me know when the 2010s began arriving. About a week and a half later I checked my email and he had sent me a message saying randomly a 2009 sport, mt, in white had showed up. I called him, was very skeptical, and made him tell me like 3 times point blank that it was true. Told him we'd be there in 2 hours. We drove the 1 hour 45 min to the dealer and when I was parking, I saw her in a back lot...ended up buying her that day!!!! Sometimes its about making a relationship with a salesperson. And luck.
