Giving up on Modding the Fit... For a while.
Giving up on Modding the Fit... For a while.
Well, I finally decided to start the old Tbird up again after a year of being stored outside. She still ran! After going back to the old TCCOA (Thunderbird and Cougar Club of America) forums I realized how much more cost effective and rewarding it will be to mod and restore a 14 year old car vs a new one. So in the interest of saving money ang getting far more HP per Dollar (300 hp junkyard engine swaps for under $1000!!!) Not to mention the advantages of being able to do mods without worrying about getting to work everyday (N2O anyone?) I even got a "Don't Laugh. It's paid for." Bumper Sticker for the old Beater Bird. Not to mention there is a certain 'peace' that comes from driving one American "Personal Luxury Vehicle" and one Japanese "Ultimate Economy Car" Any insult to one is only a complement to the other. So I appologize if I am not very active for a while in finding new mods but maybe in a couple of years the aftermarket and junkyads (try finding a Fit that isn't stipped down to the frame in a junkyard!) will starting showing some love and it will be more cost effective.

No way. That car lasted 3 years and 60,000 miles through my teenage years. 90% of what I've learned came from repairing it every other weekend. It's now at 200,000 miles and a perfect opportunity for a 4.6l dohc swap. It would be a travesty to just throw it away.
you should like me.... but i buy digital piano's and synths.

Good luck. Keep us updated on it with pics. I am with you on this i think the mods i will do on the Fit are all for what i think is creature comforts and a couple for looks but thats it. I can spend my money on other things like trips and im going to start fixing up my good previa here shortly
