2008 gd vs 2009 ge mileage question..

hey all..

most threads i found about this focused on aesthetics/steering/driving..

just wanna know from you guys what you're seeing on a mileage perspective..

obviously if i get a 2008, there will most likely be more mileage on it and that will play a part, as a previous poster says, mileage dips down a bit after a certain amount..

he also said it might be from ethanol fuel being taken in better in 09 versions? is this true and do they still use ethanol blends in my state of NJ?

some real world numbers would be nice especially those who upgraded or have family/friends who have the other version. thank you much.

I'm assuming you're talking gas mileage. There are several threads in the ECO-Fit section of this forum. You can pick-up tips on how to get better MPG too.

On average, I get about 30MPG. I wouldn't be concerned with a high odometer causing your MPG to drop until you’re close to 100,000 miles and even then it's all about how the car has been treated up to that point. At least that's what I've observed in my previous cars. As for the ethanol thing, I couldn't say, I've never paid any attention to it.
