Totaled Fit :/

Welp, some bucket head decided to try to take a left in front of me. Just some simple bruising and a little burn on my right hand. Felt very safe in the accident. Just hope they total it, I don't want to drive a car around after it's been in an accident, especially frame damage. It's like crushing a soda can and re expanding it, it's not going to hold up to much.

So do you guys think it's going to heaven or can they bring her back to life?

awww another one bits the dust, I'm pretty sure it's heaven bound, at least save your visors and sell them or use them on a new fit, or you can go another direction with a new car

No joke.

Idiot ended up not having his car insured and no license (I live in Santa Ana), at least he's not running from paying me back my deductible. But I'm not sure, it's going to be a while before I see a check, especially since this guy totally screwed me with no insurance.

I used to have GSR back in the day, and always vowed to get another one, but I need something a little more practical for my drums. We'll see what comes around the river bend hahaha.

I wasn't worried about myself so much when we hit, but thanks I'm good... I'll let you know about the visors.

As Vizzini the Sicilian says in The Princess Bride, "Inconceivable." Your Fit gave its life for you; it can do no more. An accident is bad, having one with an uninsured driver sucks. Good luck.

OMG - that was a bad accident and looks like the Fit will be totaled out. Sorry it happened to you but good to know the Fit protected you without any serious injuries. Hope you can get something back on the road soon and let us know how it goes.

If they don't total it, ask for compensation due to diminished value, if they decline, talk to a lawyer that specializes in diminished value claims.

When my civic got hit and had $10k in damages, a few years later when I wanted to trade it in no dealership wanted it, and the ones that did offered me 50-60% less than what it was worth as a trade in.

To many uninsured drivers in Cali that's why I have full coverage.

Ya, I'm getting uninsured motorist insurance for sure next time. But I just got a call from my claims adjuster and it is indeed unrepairable, so I will be getting a call soon from the totaled claims person.
