Honda to unveil Jazz Hybrid at Paris Motor Show

Honda launches new Jazz hybrid - Autocar.co.uk
Honda has confirmed that it will launch a hybrid version of its Jazz supermini at the Paris motor show at the end of next month.

The Jazz hybrid will share many of its components with the Insight, including that car’s 1.3-litre petrol engine-based hybrid powertrain.

The engine/electric motor mix is mated to a CVT gearbox and, like the Insight, the Jazz will be able to run on electric power alone in low-speed conditions.

The new model gets a few visual cues to make it stand out from regular Jazz variants, including revised headlights with a blue surround, clear tail-lights, a new front grille, different bumpers and flashes of chrome on the rear hatch.

The interior gets a single-colour dashboard and blue-lit dials and instruments. Leather trim will also be offered for the first time on a Jazz in Europe.

The Japanese manufacturer has yet to reveal any details on CO2 emissions or fuel economy figures for the car, which will go on sale in the UK next spring. But expect a CO2 figure of just over 100g/km, and more than 65mpg.

^ the CRZ has the 1.5 + electric back up but it's far far away from 65 MPG

Jazz hybrid with the 1.5l would be pointless. I hope they keep most of the trunk and magic seats.

Notice how they hide the exhaust tip.

Trying to make it look all electric (like the Nissan Leaf).

I like the leather seats and black roof. The color green is gay though.

For Brits the main draw of the GE hybrid would depend on its CO2 emissions as cars are taxed there according to how much CO2 they emit per kilometer.

The magic number is below 100g/km. Honda UK would have a hit on their hands if the Jazz Hybrid ducks below that mark - it would mean one road tax exemption.
